Christmas gifts...
I found the AIRFIX 1:72 scale Spitfire Mk IX high up on the shelf. The box was huge, but I got it back to the car. Now to see if they had that new LEGO set in stock. It had been on order for the best part of three months. The LEGO ‘Star War
s Super Star Destroyer’ is a monumentally large build. Over a metre long and weighing four kilos. I should have brough the sack barrow for the box!
People gave me space in the High Street as I hefted this gargantuan crate to the car. Seats down mode needed.
It would be the best Christmas ever. It had taken some online searching, but this would hopefully be my last purchase. It was available today. The SCALEXTRIC Pro Platinum set in 1:32 scale. I paid for the final gift. What is it with these boxes? I struggled back to the car for the third and final time. An uneventful trip home.
I was sweating with effort as I got the last box into the house, to be confronted by my beautiful wife. I smiled.
“Where’s the boy?” I asked.
“Asleep; you do remember he’s only two……?!”
